Cleaning the Robomower mulching deck and blades

It is recommended that you clean the mulching deck and blades after mowing wet grass or as needed.

Damp rags or stiff-bristle brushes and a cleaning solution should be adequate for cleaning the mower. Do not hose down or use excessive water! Water can get inside the mower and damage its electrical

components. This would be considered user error and would not be covered under the mower's warranty.

Remove battery pack prior to cleaning the Robomower.

Lift up the front of the Robomower and lean its back against a solid surface, exposing the mower's underside.

Do not position the Robomower upside down during the cleaning process. This may damage the manual controller and/or make it easier for moisture to penetrate the inside of the unit through the mowing motors/blades area.

Using gloves for protection, carefully remove the blades.

Clean the area around the mowing motors, using brushes to break up especially caked on residue.

Cleaning exterior parts of the Robomower

Use a damp rag to remove dust or dirt from top part or bumpers.

Do not hose down the Robomower!

Vacuum the battery pack compartment and under the manual controller. Make sure the mower's drainage holes are clean.

Blades

We recommend replacing the blades once a season or when they appear dull.

Some signs to watch for are: blades are noisy, blades vibrate or there is a noticeable difference in the run time of the battery pack. Dull blades will decrease the performance of a battery pack.

Do not try to sharpen the blades. Robomower mulching blades rotate at 5800 RPM, much faster than typical lawnmower blades. Failure to evenly sharpen the blades will result in exces

sive noise and vibration during operation, which can ruin a mowing motor!

Purchase a new set of blades from an authorized dealer or directly from our website.

Wet Robomower

If an unexpected shower gets your Robomower wet during operation, take it inside the garage or under shelter as soon as possible. With a dry cloth, wipe the water from the top of the mower, paying extra attention to the manual controller and charging socket area.

Do not plug in the charger to the Robomower while the mower is still wet.

Battery pack

Always charge the Robomower battery pack when not in use.

The battery pack doesn't create an "inner memory" and will not deteriorate from constant charging.

Keep charging even when the display shows 'Fully charged'. There is no consumption of electricity while this display is shown so you are not wasting money.

If the winter in your area gets cold (below 32 degrees), charge the battery pack to 'Fully charged', remove it and store indoors. It is not necessary to take out the fuse from the battery pack for this winter storage.

Battery packs left in the Robomower without charging will deplete and deteriorate! This is considered user error and the 12-month warranty on the battery is void..

If a battery pack was neglected and doesn't wake up the Robomower, the battery may be revived with a car battery charger on low setting. Contact customer support at 1-888-404-7626 for instruction.

Wire maintenance

Make sure there is no slack in the wire and it isn't sticking up in any area of the lawn.

Use more pegs to secure the wire if needed. Extra pegs can be purchased at authorized dealers or directly from our website.

The wire's copper core can be exposed in some areas, even for a length of a few feet, as long as it isn't an area where two wires are physically touching (leading to the perimeter switch or to a perimeter island).

There is no need to remove the wire, as extreme temperatures and/or moisture will not harm it.

Perimeter switch

The perimeter switch may be left outside, exposed to the elements, as long as it is mounted vertically on its stake, a wall or a fence.

If a perimeter switch is left outside and not mounted vertically, it may fill with water and damage the inner components. This is considered user error and the perimeter switch will not be under warranty.
