A Visit to the Wizard of Clay April 25, 200 |

Shhh...Listen up! I think there is something in the water up there in the Finger Lakes Region
(besides Murphy's Oil Soap).
There was something just too weird for words up there at The Wizard of Clay. When Phil and I pulled up Koz was throwing, with a look I never saw before.
Maybe there is more to the whole Wizards, dungeons and dragons thing than we
realize? He was making tall, gorgeous vases like there will be no tomorrow and
nothing else mattered. I mean it was down right scary with a twist of I don't
know how you'd say it....demonic possession? I think his Dad is right there with him. You know the nut doesn't fall far
from the tree! He's like a machine on the wheel. Maybe even zombie-like. I mean
he was cordial and carried on a nice conversation but was just unreal. He was
throwing honey jars one after another after another after another. His wheel
literally never stopped. Plaster batt on, ball of clay on, BAM it looked like a
jar, batt of clay off, plaster batt on, ball of clay on, BAM it looked like a
jar, batt of clay off, plaster batt on, ball of clay on, BAM it looked like a
jar, batt of clay off....etc.. It was dizzying! He was using a ball of clay and
a goose feather to boot! Jamie put on a pretty good show of appearing normal through most of our visit
but when he showed us samples of that last run of bowls that look came out again.
Then we saw the deity and knew we were in trouble. Phil and I were both afraid for our lives, loaded up, got on the NYS Thruway pronto and probably just got out of there by the skin of our teeth.
I know it won't matter, but he did write:
Phil,
Have your way with any and all of the pics.
They shout the truth.
Testify brother, testify.
Koz
Remember....Shhhh!.....If he catches wind I put this page up all hell could break loose.
