Hi again…now
for the approximate schedule! Again,
this is just how I arrange it and John and I doing it together might have to
alter it.
Friday night:
Power point presentations. I figure john and I will do about 30-40
minutes each, but whatever you all suggest is fine with me.
Saturday AM:
Morning for general info, preparing pedastals, if
necessary, and demonstrating our various techniques. Spraying, pouring, dipping, brushing.
By afternoon we should be well into the hands on
doing of it!! Each participant can try
all techniques, with Ginny and John there for technical assistance!
We could start to load a kiln as soon as
possible. Glazing will take all day Sat
and may overflow into Sunday?? Sunday
will be firing and Glazing. And here is
where I get confused. I usually spend
spare hours on the second day demonstrating and talking about glazes, etc. Will be doing post-fire on Sunday or on
Monday?? How many hours will we be
firing on Sunday/Monday. I usually have
a lag day and reconvene on Mon. Night or Tuesday AM to get last pots out of
kilns but hink this should be our post-fire day.
We could be glazing on Saturday and Sunday and
post-firing on Monday and getting last pots on Tuesday AM…this could work most
smoothly, I think. Or would we try to compress it into glazing on Sat and
post-firing on Sunday??
So I guess I am as confused as you all are. Get back to me and let me know if you are
wanting a more detailed idea of what is happening, hour by hour (!!??)
I’m here in VERY cold and snowy Cleveland,
visiting my family, but have email access and would love to get this done these
next few days before I get back to the studio, with a show looming in
mid-February and I am just barely back from the holiday break!!
Looking forward to your workshop being the focus
of my energy in late Feb.
I am happy to send any more info…so get in touch!!
