Shannon Mandley's Vandalized Lawn
----Original Message----- Looking at these pictures I'd say "no fungus" either. It looks to me like someone pouring the contents of a bottle on your grass as they walked around. Wow. I'd be heartbroken, madder than hell, etc, etc. if it happened to me. -Who knows what it is. It could be almost anything (bad). Did you ever find an empty container of anything laying around? Whatever it is, I think excavating and replacing the soil, then seeding, etc. is the way to go. I'll run the photos up the other guys flagpoles and tell you what I hear. Phil |

-----Original Message----- Phil, Ahh, just got your second email as I was writing this. No fungus. Look at the pictures. You can share these photos with anyone on the planet or any other planet. Not oily. Not smelly except for the horrendous smell of dead grass, like it has been mowed and piled somewhere for months. Have other photos below. Think the new next door neighbor did this. He has acted, (my parents want me to stop saying the word "crazy" as they fear he will sue me), crazy with wild allegations and I have had to call the police. Not something I have ever had to do. I live in a suburb of Atlanta. Here are the others: |

I have no experience with zoysia, but I can say it looks pretty nasty, like it will take some time to come back unless the soil is changed. Does it run in lines all over? Is the black part oily or greasy (from something added to it) or is it just that the dead grass has turned black? Do you mind if share these photos with others to help get an answer? |
